Retrieval Services
KMG never sponsors, directs, is held liable, manages, or assist with any driving and/or retrieval services responsibilities, i.e. insurance, license, maturity, local awareness, actual planning of your safety during XC etc. These actions are your responsibility and yours alone.
During major events plus any other time KMG deems appropriate, a "Drivers List" will be posted on this page and in Moore City Park and the KMG Store for your convenience.
If you fly cross country on your own, by yourself without a plan for retrieve or chase drivers, you truly are on your own. If you contact KMG after such a stunt, we will make every effort to contact the appropriate individual(s) in order to try to assist your return. KMG will not come and get you. Our policy keeps us from chasing individuals who have no regard for others by expecting automatic taxi service. Not to mention these individuals clearly are not thinking smartly themselves. However, many pilots go XC on their own and hitchhike back. These decisions and actions are your choice not ours, therefore you and only you are responsible. This really make to much sense, doesn't it!
Please read our policy on retrievals if you are considering going cross country at King Mountain.
Warning! Warning! All pilots who fly King Mtn. should carry a survival kit with them at all times when flying, even if they do not plan on going XC. Water, food, water proof matches, signal mirror, warm clothing, maps, cell phone or radio are minimum suggestions!
