| This years Spring Fling was no small turn out even with the prediction of
inclement weather. Dedicated pilots showed up to have fun, make new pilot friends that share the same interest and to eat like there is no tomorrow. I think I need a larger size glider. We (by that I mean Gail and myself) served 35 all you could eat steak and chicken dinners to guest and friends in addition to the 17 pilots PG and HG were in town. Pilots flew every day. However, the best flying days were after the Fling. Dr Paul flew to Mt Borah and back, while two falcon 195s (myself and Nathan) flew around king reaching cloud base and altitudes over 15k for several hours, all landing at my house. The winners for each longest flight in each division HG and PG winning $50 each is as follows: Dr Paul - 49 miles HG Mark (I forgot his last name) 12 miles PG I really hope to see everyone at King or in the area before or during the King Mountain Hang Gliding National Championships. |
